Earth on a Verge of Extinction

A few days ago, my brother-in-law told me that black rhinos are extinct. I was quite puzzled because I didn’t even know that they existed. I even used to joke around saying that my niece’s miniature black rhino is a factory reject because I knew that the only color of a rhino should be in gray. I was wrong and felt a little disappointed that I did not have the chance to see a real living rhino.
As solitary creatures, both male and female rhinos establish territories. Males mark and defend their territories. Rhinos use their horns not only in battles for territory or females but also to defend themselves from lions, tigers and hyenas
Did they fail in preserving such a wonderful creature? I don’t think so. Did they not want to protect them? Of course not, why would they want such a thing to happen?
It is only natural for specie to go extinct, isn’t it? Mammoths have gone extinct, Sabertooths had gone extinct and so did the dinosaurs who lived on earth millions billions of years ago and it’s only natural.
A century ago hunting had nearly wiped out this species: only 1,200 were left but today, millions of these kind thrive mostly in Europe
Though in some most endangered animals were saved from extinction like the Eurasian Beaver that was almost wiped out about a century ago but now thrives mostly in Europe. Prevention of extinction means discipline coming from us. Controlling ourselves not to pouch them, hunt them or anything that can harm them. Pandas also played an important role for the Chinese to be aware of their animals. They had almost gone extinct but it didn’t because they gave the proper needed attention to it.
Are we on a verge of extinction because there are many animals that are already endangered? But what about our nature? The trees? The oceans, sea, rivers, etc. Aren’t they in danger? Excessive use of wood is wrong. The excessive logging and illegal logging should be monitored or stopped because we will be the ones who will suffer.
It is in the balance of things that specie would go extinct. We cannot go against the law of nature. We can’t just clone them for that are against the law. We cannot revive a woolly mammoth and put it at the zoo. Clone a Homo Habilis, Australopithecus and give them jobs? That is ridiculous. Study them for more knowledge?  We can never truly know their nature, traits because animals can adapt. By interfering with the nature we can only have a perfect replica of the animal but the real animal is been lost forever.
